We fat graceful girls
No one notices the elegant rolls
Or the lovely folds
Here's one for the girls who eat
For the girls who never miss a meal
You'll never see us on a billboard
Or in a magazine
Here's one for the girls who have a great personality
Who cry when we shop
And don't get asked out
But are way more beautiful than you
Because we have to be

You're mostly right. Accept for one thing, fat girls do get asked out. I ask them out. I like them for their great personalities, I like girls that are content with how they look fat or thin it really doesn't make any difference to me. And how about one for fat girls that don't cry when they eat ice cream, and the fat girls that pwn "pretty" girls for making fun of them for being fat! ^_^

I wrote this as someone's perception of themselves. I battled with eating disorders for a long time. This definitely wasn't meant to be offensive in any way, and I'm so sorry you feel that it is. I truly apologize if I hurt your feelings.

I should probably point out that this was something I wrote a while back when I was battling with an eating disorder...this poem might make a little more sense. I was just coming to terms with my own body image when I wrote this.

Well, as a fat girl, I personally love it, and I don't think you have to be fat in order to understand what we deal with. Consequently, I had an eating disorder in my teens too, so I undetstand. Fabulous piece darling, you're marvalous. ;)

It's so terrible how fat individuals are treated... I am of average body type (still in healthy weight range), but I completely understand what it feels like. And I believe that fat is beautiful.
